Jim Hathaway grew up in a non-Christian home and came to know Jesus as his Lord and Savior at the age of 21. He was soon after involved extensively in ministry while working full-time as a Social Worker in hospital and government settings. He started his first full time ministry position in 1992 as the Director of Counselling at the Union Gospel Mission in downtown Vancouver. After seminary he pastored churches in Surrey, Grand Prairie, Medicine Hat and Strathmore.
Jim is married to Rhona and they have 2 young adult children- Chloe and Josh. Chloe is a child-care worker and Josh trains provincially as a speed-skater and works part-time. Jim’s hobbies include cycling, reading, coffee roasting and classic jazz music. Rhona has been involved with women’s ministry for over twenty years and has worked as a national leader as well as on staff in 3 churches as the Women’s Ministry Director. She is also a referee in speed-skating.
Denise was born and raised in South Carolina, and is a proud Clemson Tiger! Denise’s family plays a huge role in her life, and she is very thankful for a close family. Her dad is a pastor, and her mom is a retired teacher. Denise’s sister and brother-in-law are both teachers and coaches and are the parents of her wonderful nephews, Lyon and Gideon. Denise attended North Greenville University on a golf scholarship where she graduated in 2014 with a marketing degree.
Denise moved to Calgary and began her work at Junction in April 2017.
