Dwight Huffman

Interim Pastor

Dwight Huffman and his wife Judy immigrated to Cochrane from the United States in May of 2000.  Both are Canadian citizens and love it here in Alberta!  Judy has been serving at Bearspaw Christian School for 17 years, and has been the elementary principal there for 10 years.  Dwight and Judy have two adult daughters.  Ashley, along with her husband Tim and son Ryker, lives in Cochrane.  Amber, along with her husband Peter and children Elizabeth and Joshua, is serving with the International Mission Board in the NAME (North Africa and Middle East) region.

Dwight has a variety of ministry experience- he planted four churches between 1978-1995 in Michigan and Oregon, and served as a pastor in Washington state.  After moving to Alberta, Dwight worked for nine years with the Canadian National Baptist Convention (CNBC) as the catalytic missionary for Alberta, Yukon, and the Northwest Territories, and was the national team leader for church planting from 2005-2007.  From 2009-2017, God called Dwight to serve as the lead pastor at Bow Valley Baptist Church in Cochrane.  In the spring of 2017, he began in his current role at the CNBC as the national team leader for regional ministries.
